Our story began in the mid-2000s when LaMar Layton was looking for a way to prepare for retirement. Throughout his career, he’d worked in investment management, engineering, and computer programming, and he drew from all three disciplines as he began to develop the Decisive Investor method.

It started as a spreadsheet, built for LaMar’s own use, but soon grew as friends got wind of what he was working on and wanted to invest for themselves. The spreadsheet eventually became a web-based app, and the business grew as our investors referred their friends and relatives.

Over the past few years, Decisive Investor has been actively marketing this program to others, and we’re excited to grow further as we build a prosperous future.
